The Mudhens lost!

Madeline went to see her first Mudhens game yesterday in Toledo at FifthThird Field. She was so excited about this game. The days leading up to it were filled with big disappointments when she would learn that that day was not the day of the game. (we did tell her what day it was, and how many days until the game, but she refused to remember this hoping the day would magically change I think.)

She got to eat cotton candy, footlong hotdog, try a fried bologna sandwich, ice cream sundae in a helmet!, nachos, and a bit more hotdog from PopPop. At the end of the game on Sundays, they let the kids run the bases. I wasn't sure if Madeline would want to, but she jumped at the chance. She even stood in line for an inning (a long inning) to do it! She had a really great time and can't wait to go back.
